- Age Validation Technology (AVT) reinforces responsible retailing at the point of purchase by enabling retailers to scan a consumer's ID on sales transactions containing age restricted products to help eliminate most of the human error that could be involved in ID checks
- How dezi AVT Works:
1. Retail Clerk scans a product that was designated as age-restricted in the dezi app
2. A pop-up will appear (pictured below) requiring age validation
3. Retail Clerk scans consumer’s government-issued ID while visually verifying the ID
4. dezi validates that the adult tobacco consumer is of legal age and that the ID is not expired
5. Age validation is completed, and transaction can continue
